Hopster wasn’t technically an app, but the site worked well through mobile browsers. It offered printable coupons redeemed in-store — you’d snap a photo of your receipt and email it in, earning 55 points per coupon used. Bonus points were also available for following Hopster on social media and watching videos. Once your receipt was confirmed, your cash reward was sent instantly via PayPal.
14. Grocery iQ (Now Part of Coupons.com)
App available for: iOS – Android
Grocery iQ doesn’t technically scan your receipts, but it does scan your shopping list to help you save. The app automatically matches store coupons to your loyalty card based on the items you add to your list, and it also lets you download manufacturer coupons.
15. Target Circle (formerly Target Cartwheel)
App available for: iOS – Android
This app only works at Target, but it’s a great one if you shop there often. Target Circle activates coupons for items in your cart — just show the cashier your shopping session barcode at checkout, and your savings apply instantly to your receipt.
16. Mobee
App available for: iOS – Android
Mobee is a mystery shopping app that pays you to shop at a specific grocery store and then share your experience through a short survey (around 10 questions). Once you submit it, you’ll receive your reward within 24 hours. Rewards can be redeemed for PayPal deposits, gift cards, or merchandise.
